How to Install

Contents of package: Two (2) Simply Dump It (SDI) wheelbarrow handle assemblies, each consisting of an adaptor that slides onto your wheelbarrow handle and a grip that pivots for tipping your load, six (6) sizing shims (three per side), two (2) bolts and two (2) nylon lock nuts.

Tools required for assembly: Standard screwdriver, spanner, drill, 5 mm drill bit, rubber mallet (or hammer and block of timber). 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Read ALL instructions before assembly.

Fits most wheelbarrow handle sizes when installed correctly using the supplied sizing shims, if required, and secured with the supplied bolt and nut.

  1. Place the Simply Dump It (SDI) assemblies onto your wheelbarrow handles to check whether the SDI units fit snugly without sizing shims. If they are loose, proceed to Step 3 below. DO NOT HAMMER OR FORCE THE SDI UNIT INTO PLACE. Align the SDI so the word “TOP” is facing upwards and centred on the wheelbarrow handle. Then proceed to Step 4. 

  2. If your wheelbarrow handle is too large for the SDI unit, light sanding may be required to achieve a proper fit. For safe and correct operation, the supplied bolt and nut must be fitted during installation. Then proceed to Step 4. 

  3. If the adaptor fits loosely on the handle, sizing shims are required. Remove the SDI unit from the handle and separate the six sizing shims. Compress and slide the shims into the adaptor one at a time, reinstalling the SDI unit after each shim is inserted. If the fit is still loose, continue adding shims one at a time until a snug fit is achieved. Offset the open adjustment slots on the shims to provide even spacing beneath the SDI unit, then reinstall the SDI. Do not hammer or force the SDI unit into place. Align the SDI so the word “TOP” is facing upwards and centred on the wheelbarrow handle. Light sanding may still be required even when using shims. 

  4. For safe and correct operation, the supplied bolt and nut must be fitted.

  5. Position the 5 mm drill bit over the letter “O” in the word “TOP” on the adaptor and drill straight down completely through the SDI unit and the wheelbarrow handle. 

  6. Insert one (1) bolt through the hole and secure with one (1) nylon lock nut. Tighten firmly so that the bolt thread passes completely through the nylon lock section of the nut. 

  7. Your Simply Dump It wheelbarrow handle accessory is now ready for use. 

NOTE: For safe and correct operation, the supplied bolt and nut must be fitted during installation.

• Nylon components may deteriorate and weaken with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Moving parts may pinch fingers or other body parts.
• Children must be supervised while using this product.
